Pastor Sunday Adelaja, disgraced pastor of the “Embassy of God” mega-church in Kiev, just invited President Obama to the church’s 15th anniversary celebration. Now understand, this is a pastor who was just arrested for helping embezzle $120 million dollars in funds from his own parishioners through a pyramid scheme called “Kings Capital.” At first I was confounded — why would Pastor Sunday imagine Obama would be interested in him?
Then I remembered — the Treasury Department still needs several more tax cheats and frauds to assist Tim Geithner!

Actually, I’ve gone through a couple hundred pages of articles on the subject in three languages. I’ve also attended one of Sunday’s churches and known many of his followers personally. Try this line of attack somewhere else.
I understand your loyalty to Sunday, but it is misplaced. You do no honor to God when you mindlessly follow a hypocrite who bilks people in His name.
You are lying in this article, Pastor Sunday Adelaja has not been arrested.
He has many enemies because of his great influence on the whole nation of Ukraine, which is very scaring to all political enemies to the mayor of Kiev (for the 2nd round), who is a prominent member of his church.
They are trying to use the situation where an investment company that was founded by former church members was hit by the global financial crisis.
Pastor Sunday was personally never involved in this company, that’s why the investigators are struggling to find evidence that doesn’t exist.
I have known pastor Sunday and had followed his ministry for the past 16 years from my days in the former Soviet Union. I have known him as an humble, honest, loving, caring and God fearing man who is always ready to sacrifice for the betterment of others. All this false allegations against him are simply due to his openness and readiness to help everybody who comes across him. Even the Ukrainians themselves have always testified to the fact that his heart and his desire to help everyone is uncommon and unseen. As a born again and minister of God who has been around many well known men of God, I can say with my whole heart that if there are ten righteous men of God on earth, pastor Sunday Adelaja is one of them. But if there is only one, then he is definitely the one. That is why God has given him such a grace and a high calling to save and deliver a whole nation!
It is very clear and obvious that the financial allegations against this unique man of God that the body of Christ should be proud of, are politically and racially motivated. The job that God has done in the Ukraine alone through pastor Sunday and the Embassy of God is one of its kind for the past century. God has used the Embassy of God to touch and change all spheres of life in the Ukraine. In just 15 years of its existence, the church has more than 100.000 members in the Ukraine alone whose lives have changed from homelessness, addictions, prostitutions, hooliganisms, criminals…to good God fearing Christian citizens, who are building the future of a prosperous Ukraine based on Christian values. Please tell me where on earth have you heard of such? By its actions, the church alone has actually saved the Ukrainian economy many millions of dollars which could have been used to rehabilitate and treat these people. Here we are talking about people who did not have any hope for the future and who were poverty stricken, people who knew only one thing: to drink, kill, and destroy. Well done Pastor Sunday!
By its good work, the church has gained a lot of approval among ordinary people. The popularity of the Church is phenomenal in the Ukraine. This is why in the eyes of the political elite; it has become a danger to them as they will lose their positions to the true believers of Christ. We should not forget the fact that the mayor of the capital city Kiev is a member of the Church who will probably run for presidency come October 09 election. As things stand with the support of the massive Christian community from the church and the 30% of the church MPs in the parliament, HE IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT of the country!!! All of this has made them to try as much as they can to destabilise the church and undermine the authority and the good image of pastor Sunday and the God fearing mayor by manipulating the media. As a former communist country, the Ukrainians have no consideration for black people. For them it is an insult to see a black man teaching the whites the values of Christianity and of God’s Kingdom. For them, by electing a member of the church to any high position in the country is in fact electing a black man (pastor Sunday) in that position! When I was studying over there, I was daily racially abused and was called monkey; that we live on trees in Africa! These are the same persecutions that pastor Sunday is going through on daily basis. Even one of his children was not allowed to use the swimming pool with other white children because of the colour of his skin. As believers in Christ outside the Ukraine we should be proud, supportive and pray for pastor Sunday for what God is using him to do. I can’t see any pastor based in the Western Europe succeeding in the former Soviet Union as pastor Sunday has done! This shows that God is with him and for him. He is an innocent man whom the devil is afraid of and finds him a threat to his kingdom.
Knowing pastor Sunday, I can say that all this images circulating online are false and pure montage by the Ukrainian security. In May 2008, I was in Kiev during pastor Sunday’s birthday celebration and had the opportunity to attend one of the church services where pastor Sunday was pleading with the church members to do a thorough investigation and get the written insurance from King’s capital before they can invest their money into it. He even chose two people to investigate and bring in a report to make sure that the company was able to fulfill its obligations to the customers. He was not in any way encouraging them to invest in that company but rather to shop around with caution. The testimonies from the directors of the company should have been enough to share light on the matter. For the past 15 years the Ukrainian authorities have been looking for opportunities to accuse the man of God and the church but to no avail. This latest episode is just one of them.
The so called prominent pastor, who resigned, knows that, all of these allegations are untrue. She even have confessed that she had to do so because of the pressure from the authorities so that they can leave her in peace. But sooner or later she will repent and come back to her senses! It is a shame that the so called archbishops have decide to join the devil’s camp- the accuser of the brethren. It is well known that most of them are jealous of the work that God is doing through the Embassy of God in the Ukraine. The man who is behind all these allegations (Mr. Shidlovsky) is an envoy of Satan to destroy the work of God. Already in July 2006 during the summer fast in Kiev, which I attended, this man was publicly earmarked by all the other pastors of the Embassy of God to be a dangerous, disruptive, manipulative and a cunning man who should be evicted from the church. But because of the love of God in pastor Sunday, he was allowed to continue being a part of the church. Now he has turned around to bite the finger that has fed him. But no one fights with God and wins!
Dear readers, it could have been good if you can travel to the Ukraine and see the great work that the Lord has done through pastor Sunday and the Church. But, by living in Kiev just for few days you will never wish to be in pastor Sunday shoes because, everything the church has done so far has never been appreciated by the government officials. If such work was done in the western world, the whole world would have heard about it and the image of Christianity could have been boosted. On daily basis the newspapers keep on publishing negative articles against him and the church because he is a black man. As truly born again Christians it is our obligations to support and pray for the protection of our own. Pastor Sunday is one of us- the body of Christ. He is an innocent man who has been accused because of his colour and desire to see that God’s kingdom is established in all spheres of life in the Ukraine.
In all of this, we are more than conquerors. The devil has been defeated 2000 years ago. Victory belongs to pastor Sunday Adelaja and The Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for all Nations in the Ukraine and all over the world. The Kingdom of God will continue to march forward. All of this is for the glory of God. But one thing I know of, is that at the end God will vindicate his servant openly and then the whole world will know how loyal, faithful and God-fearing pastor Sunday Adelaja is.
