This was a sentiment often expressed by independents, libertarians and disgruntled Republicans during the last election cycle. Well, the data is in. We can now state empirically that YES HE CAN!

  2. Interesting use of the word “empirically” - these are projections, and apparently a lot depends on your assumption for economic growth.

  3. What’s empirical is that Obama WANTS to blow up the deficit.

    Also, I give a lot more credence to the CBO numbers. The office is run by Democrats, so it’s hardly shilling for Republicans. Obama’s numbers are based on -really- rosy economic assumptions.
